Why Directwerk

Your own platform — not renting someone else’s

Challenge 1

Patreon, Steady, or a closed CMS control your domain, data, and delivery.

Directwerk runs under your brand: Studio for creators, a website for listeners — and for agencies an API to plug in their own UIs.

Challenge 2

Podcast, newsletter, and memberships live in separate tools.

Everything in one place: podcast, RSS, subscriptions, articles, and feed builder. Who pays sees what — the same for every format.

Challenge 3

Agencies need whitelabel, not another monolithic CMS.

Every client gets their own domain, branding, and isolated data — on a platform that safely runs multiple shows side by side.

Live example

Liedermacherleben — a real show on Directwerk

Simon’s podcast already runs on Directwerk — on its own subdomain, with episodes you can listen to. Open the site and see how the show feels for listeners.

Feeds for everyone & for each listener

Every listener gets their own feed

Public feeds bring new listeners; private feeds keep subscribers — the same logic for podcasts and articles. In the feed builder, listeners pick their favorite formats; paid content only appears when the subscription covers it.

Public — for everyone

Your podcast.xml and article RSS for free content. Submittable to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Fyyd — without being locked to one platform.

Private — per subscriber

A personal feed URL per listener: everyone only sees what their subscription covers. You can revoke access or rotate the link anytime.

Feed builder · Demo

Every listener builds their own feed

Pick formats — try it out:

Personal feed URL (1 of 3 formats):

https://deine-show.directwerk.org/feeds/deine-show/u/dein-token.xml?format=Main%20episode

Up to 5 feeds per subscriber · paid content only · link revocable anytime.

What you get

Everything in one place — or only what you need

Creators work in Studio. Listeners use your website — or a custom UI wired to the same API.

Creator dashboard

directwerk-studio

Episodes, articles, media, subscriptions, and team — everything you need to publish.

Listener website

directwerk-web

Your show on the web: info, pricing, account, and private feeds — on your domain.

Platform ops

directwerk-admin

Manage shows, features, and storage — for Directwerk operators only.

For custom surfaces

REST API

Agencies and developers build their own apps against the same endpoints — or use Studio and Web.

For developers

For developers: a stable API

Agencies build custom UIs against /api/v1/ — with clear error codes, per-show domain resolution, and the same endpoints as Studio and Web.

FAQ

Short answers

Where is my data stored?

In Europe: API and databases at Hetzner (Germany), audio and media files with European object-storage providers. No US-cloud lock-in — and a DPA to match.

Can I migrate away from Patreon, Steady, or Spotify?

Yes. Subscribers and products can be imported via API; public RSS feeds stay compatible — your listeners on Apple Podcasts & co. won’t notice the move. Talk to us about early access and migration help.

Do I need my own domain?

Your brand comes first: own domain, own branding, own logo. Directwerk stays in the background — Studio, website, and feeds carry your name.

What does it cost?

We’re in early access and talk with creators, agencies, and integrators individually about models and revenue share. Just write us — you’ll get an honest answer quickly.

I’m a developer — can I build my own frontend?

Yes. The REST API under /api/v1/ is the official path — Studio and Web are reference UIs. As an agency you build your own apps against the same endpoints, documented in OpenAPI.

Ready for the next step?

Your own platform — not just another tool

We talk with creators, agencies, and developers about early access, migrating from Patreon/Steady, and custom surfaces.
